Podcasting
The introduction of the iPod and other personal MP3 players has taken the world by storm. Podcasting is empowering the public with their own voice on an international level while redefining “Radio” in the 21st century.
People are now able to store and listen to literally thousands of songs at the touch of a button at any time wherever they are. This technology has also opened up the doorway to the delivery of instructional audio, audio books, news and weather, amateur music, seminars and sales tools across the Internet using Podcasting.
A Podcast is, in simple terms, an audio file in MP3 format uploaded to a server (website) with an RSS (Real Simple Syndication) file that delivers the file automatically to users who subscribe using a dedicated program, such as ‘iTunes’ or ‘iPodder’.
